2010 Recycling Calendar
Trash and Recycling:
Participation in Woburn's curbside trash and recycling program is available to all residents living in 1-3 unit homes, condominiums and townhouses. Recycling will help our community divert many tons of trash from our waste stream annually for reuse in new products. Please see the above referenced 2010 recycling schedule and collection calendar for more information regarding your trash and recycling.
PLEASE ENSURE YOUR TRASH, RECYCLING AND YARDWASTE IS PUT OUT AT YOUR CURBSIDE BY
7AM.
CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS IS NOT ALLOWED IN YOUR REGULAR TRASH.
2010 Yard Waste:
Yard waste pickup will occur during the following weeks
ONLY on your normal trash day. Please use yard waste bags or barrels without lids. NO PLASTIC BAGS. Please cut branches to 3 feet in length, no larger than 2 inches in diameter. Branches must be bundled and tied.

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal:
Latex Paint:
Latex Paint is non-hazardous and can be disposed of with your regular trash. Any paint left in the can MUST be completely dried out. You may do this by mixing the paint with kitty litter or you may purchase a paint hardener kit at your local home improvement store in the paint section. We recommend disposing no more than two cans of paint in each bag of trash. Please do not leave cans on the curb they will not be taken.
Oil Based Paints and other hazardous waste:
The Town of Lexington allows Woburn residents to use their household hazardous waste facility. They run HHW drives once a month from April through November at the Minuteman Hazardous Household Product Facility/Hartwell

Tires, Household Batteries and Mercury Bearing Waste:
You may drop off any fluorescent lighting, thermomotor, thermostats, button batteries, or small household appliance batteries to the Board of Health office during normal business hours. We also hold quarterly drives for the above mentioned materials along with tires and car batteries.
Car Tires and Car Batteries:
Car tires and car batteries can be dropped off during our quarterly hazardous waste drive for the City of Woburn. They are held the third Saturday of March, June, September and December from 8 am to 12 noon. All tires and batteries are $1.00 each. This service is provided by Holland Used Auto Parts.
Propane Tanks:
You may take your propane tanks to Xpress Fuel, 505 Main Street (next to The Restaurant).
